Notes on the kittens

These adorable kittens were found under my car a week before Thanksgiving, and sadly they're too old for our vet to take in for adoption.

All of these kittens are between 16-24 weeks old and are housebroken. Or whatever word you use to indicate that they use the cat-box, rather than the floor, for a bathroom. Our vet at Lilburn Animal Hospital checked them over and apparently their adult canine teeth are coming through, which confirms the age.

They are all female, and have healthy weights between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 pounds, and are up to date with flea treatment.

In the next few months, they will need to have feline leukemia tests and they'll need to be spayed, along with getting all their vaccinations.

When we found them they all had ear mites quite badly, but we're treating them for that and they're improving.

Kitten #1 - The Siamese

Siam is a quiet kitten who is very happy just playing with her toys or napping. In fact, she needs human contact the least of all three. She is more than happy to let you pet her, but hasn't been very needy about wanting us to pet or play with her.
She has a beautiul coat and light blue eyes - and no tail!

Kitten #2 - Calico

We have nicknamed this tail-less, fuzzy calico "Doom". Of all of the kittens she started out the least interactive, and had the worst ear mites. She didn't seem to want to have anything to do with us, and wandered around with a cat-scowl.
Pretty soon, though, she began to be very friendly, and can usually be found sleeping on our bed when we wake up.

She is inquisitive and like so be inside things: baskets, cabinets...even the drawer under the bathroom counter, which she gets into via the cabinet.

We have a bg dog (75# mastiff) and she loves to follow him around and is totally unafraid of him.

Doom isn't the most playful kitty, but she is very, very affectionate.

Kitten #3 - Fox Kitty

This kitten is the most inquisitive of the three, and has the most beautiful, mischievous face. She like to play, with you or other cats, and is full of energy.

We think her markings look like a wolf, but her coat and her long tail look like a fox. So we have nicknamed her Mulder, after the X-Files character. Yes, we're geeks.

Mulder will play with anything or anyone, and is FAST. You get the impression that she might have A.D.D, but is a lot of fun.
